Washington DC Temple by Anne Bradham
About this Image:
I am from the Washington, DC area. When I was growing up, the closest temple was Salt Lake City, over 2000 miles away. I remember my parents packing the family up and driving across the country for my oldest sister's wedding. Shortly thereafter, the Washington DC temple was announced. Back then, the local community had to help pay for the temple. I remember pulling weeds, babysitting, and doing any odd jobs I could find to help pay for the temple. I was 14 at the time. This is the temple where I was married so it is very special to me.
About the Artist:
ANNE J. BRADHAM grew up in the Washington DC area with exposure to art at an early age. While a student at BYU, she traveled extensively throughout Europe on a semester abroad program with artist James C. Christensen. Her work can be found in both public and private collections such as the late Senator Robert F Bennett, Franklin-Covey Co., Museum of History and Art, and the Utah Museum of Art. Though she currently resides in Georgia with her family, Anne traveled to each of the temples she has painted. Anne hopes her temple paintings will convey the spirit she felt while on the temple grounds and help all to remember the love God has for them and the covenants they have made.
