Holland said, “No love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child.\" I have come to see that motherly love is not only a blessing to the child, but also a powerful source of strength and goodness for the mother as well. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch6\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the Artist:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h6\u003e\u003cp\u003eMaureen Merrell is a Utah-based artist whose work explores themes of faith, spirituality, and the human experience. Drawing inspiration from contemporary realism, she seeks to create art that reflects both the beauty and the sacredness of life. She believes art serves the important purpose of connecting humans to each other and to the Divine. \nThough she dreamed of being an artist as a child, Maureen first pursued a career in healthcare, earning a BS in Nursing from Brigham Young University in 2011. Years later, amid the joys and challenges of motherhood, she rediscovered her creative voice.
