30+ Breathtaking Mount Timpanogos Temple Pictures

The Mt Timpanogos Temple was dedicated on October 13, 1996. It covers a jaw-dropping 104,000 square feet with Sierra white granite walls and bronze doors. This ninth Utah LDS temple is known for its enormous, circular flower bed and its similar appearance to its "sister", the Bountiful Utah Temple.

BOUNTIFUL TEMPLE BY ANNE BRADHAM

The dedicatory prayer includes several beautiful phrases, petitioning God for the sacred building’s protection as a haven for all who visit. One such phrase reads:

“May its beauty never be marred by evil hands. May it stand strong against the winds and storms that will beat upon it. May it be a beacon of peace and a refuge to the troubled. May it be an holy sanctuary to those whose burdens are heavy and who seek Thy consoling comfort.”

Here are some of the Mt Timpanogos Temple pictures from our artists and photographers. They have pulled personal inspiration from the sacred beauty of this building and what it means to them and those who enter or visit the grounds.

“May its beauty never be marred by evil hands. May it stand strong against the winds and storms that will beat upon it. May it be a beacon of peace and a refuge to the troubled. May it be an holy sanctuary to those whose burdens are heavy and who seek Thy consoling comfort.”

Mount Timpanogos Temple Paintings

We’ll start with our paintings. Most of our Mt Timpanogos Temple pictures are from our photographers, but we have some inspiring painters who have taken on this subject as well. We love Anne and Abigale’s work for the unique color and perspectives they each bring to the table.

Anne’s characteristic detail shows us the temple on a bright, inviting day. The trees have a springtime feel to them, and the clouds look soft enough to touch.

In Abigale’s painting and watercolor, we also see a cheerful palette of color. However, she uses different shapes and textures to introduce us to a new perspective. With fewer minute details, we view the temple more by how it feels than how it appears.

Mount Timpanogos Temple Pictures: Sunrise and Sunset

Pictures of sunsets or sunrises are always stunning. We love it when our photographers and artists can capture the glow of any LDS temple, especially with a colorful sky behind it.

Mount Timpanogos Temple - Resplendent Hope by Lance Bertola

In Lance Bertola’s photo of the Mt Timpanogos Temple, the sky is divided in two between the warm sunset and the cool sky. It almost appears divided by the temple’s steeple. The contrast of colors in the sky is stunning, especially with the added glow behind the building.

Scott Jarvie takes us above the trees for a bird's eye view of the Mt Timpanogos Temple. With the pink sky, the stretch of green, and distant snow-capped mountains, the sight is lovely. It is a reminder of the temple's purpose: to guide our gaze toward Heaven.

One of Evan Lurker’s talents as an LDS temple photographer is capturing scenes that are so peaceful they make you want to breathe a relaxed sigh. His photos are characteristically calm, even without the gentle pinks and purples that we see in these two pictures of the Mt Timpanogos Temple.

Robert A. Boyd’s gallery of LDS temple pictures is extensive. Here, he captures the sunrise, sunset, and even a beautiful sky somewhere in between. We see a broad range of colors, from blues and purples to yellows and oranges. Robert has also captured these photos of the Mt Timpanogos Temple at a variety of different angles. They show multiple views of the flowerbeds, grounds, and architecture that make this sacred building so unique.

Mount Timpanogos Temple Pictures At Night

Temple pictures taken at night make for some of the most inspiring pieces of LDS art. The glow of these sacred buildings, which are often built on a higher elevation, is best seen at night. It creates the image of a beacon--an accurate reflection of what the temple itself can be as we draw closer to God.

This next Mt Timpanogos Temple picture by Robert is especially beautiful. The glow of the temple lights blends with that of the moon, creating a breathtaking scene. Moonlight reminds us that even in the darkest times of our lives, the temple can bring us peace, hope, and direction.

Scott has captured all sorts of different perspectives of the Mt Timpanogos Temple in this setting. In these four pictures alone, we see the flowerbeds, the beginnings of early morning light, a panoramic of the surrounding mountains, a snowfall shot, and the temple lights against a clear sky. Scott’s love and respect for this sacred building are evident in the time and lengths it took to get each of these shots.

Here we have four more masterpieces by Robert. As with most LDS Temples, gorgeous flowerbeds surround the Mt Timpanogos, Utah Temple. As we mentioned before, there is a popular flower bed near the entrance of the temple. It’s enormous, round, and almost Eden-like with its lush color during the warmer months.

We love the differences and contrasts in these Mt Timpanogos Temple pictures. They illustrate that our experiences when visiting the temple are unique and personal, especially as different phases in life allow us to see new angles and perspectives.

Love this temple as much as our artists and photographers? We would love to hear what it means to you and your family!
