Painting number six in this series is about having a change of heart. I began this series to understand my sons and their journey. I chose the use of birds since they are inclusive to all people and cultures.At step six, we are prepared to have God wash away our shortcomings and weaknesses. It is like walking along the beach then looking back, knowing where we have been. This time of reflection is vital to making clear choices moving forward. Clarity is how we make the kindest choices for our future. Yes, the past has been so difficult and so heavy. But as we move forward, we can see a bright new future ahead of us.
