The scriptures say very little about Jesus the boy, but we know that he grew in much the same way that all children do. By the time he was twelve, however, he had become advanced for his age, both spiritually and mentally. Still, there must have been treasured moments between Mary and her firstborn son in which teaching and learning took place on both sides.
