About this Image:

My oldest daughter took a photograph of the Salt Lake Temple which I liked so much that I decided to make a painting using it. It was my hope that the clouds might add another dimension to the image.

About the Artist:

DOC O. CHRISTENSEN was raised on a dairy farm in Merced, California, where he spent a lot of time learning to draw. At a young age, his mother soon introduced him to oil painting. Later on in life, he gained experience as a technical illustrator. Both accuracy and beauty are apparent in each of his works, his best known being The Portrait of the Prophets. Doc's religious art so far carries two main themes: Jesus Christ as the Savior, and the everyday commitment of believers choosing to live His gospel. Among his unique works, you will see scenes of valiant missionaries, faithful pioneers, modern-day families, and meaningful church service.
