Salt Lake Temple by Eric Dowdle

Inspiration:

Enjoy the serenity of the soft, warm tones in the painting of this most famous and recognizable landmark, the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Even though this temple was the first that the Mormon Pioneers started, it became the 4th to be finished, taking over 40 years to build, requiring much hard work and sacrifice. It stands as a beacon in the midst of downtown Salt Lake City, with it’s intriguing architectural design and symbolism throughout. Its spires reaching up to Heaven bring Heaven just a little closer for visitors from all over the world to see and feel.
