Dawn Before the Crossing

Inspiration:

The recently completed Nauvoo temple was enjoyed just a few weeks before the Nauvoo community began their journey west. Anxious to receive their temple endowments, the temple was open around the clock on the night of February 7, 1846. This painting shows the morning light after that night of service to the soon departing saints.
