Maureen Merrell is a Utah-based artist whose work explores themes of faith, spirituality, and the human experience. Drawing inspiration from contemporary realism, she seeks to create art that reflects both the beauty and the sacredness of life. She believes art serves the important purpose of connecting humans to each other and to the Divine.
Though she dreamed of being an artist as a child, Maureen first pursued a career in healthcare, earning a BS in Nursing from Brigham Young University in 2011. Years later, amid the joys and challenges of motherhood, she rediscovered her creative voice. Since 2020, Maureen has studied at the JKR Studio Academy, where she continues to refine her craft and deepen her creative vision.
