Motherhood

Inspiration:

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you. -Isaiah 66:13.

When my baby was born at 25 weeks, motherhood turned out to be quite different than I thought it would be. This painting is inspired by the process of grief and acceptance I had to go through in order to accept reality, and the details of how Isaiah brought me comfort at just the right time.
