The Time is at Hand

Inspiration:

The painting portrays the Savior overseeing events taking place in both the eastern and western hemisphere the night before he was born. The portrayal is more symbolic than literal as it appears events surrounding the birth of Christ are taking place simultaneously - in actuality the events took place sequentially but we know in the east and the west a new star appeared.
