Balm of Gilead

Inspiration:

I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee. - 2 Kings 20:5

The idea for Balm of Gilead came to me shortly after Japan was hit by the catastrophic tsunami in March of 2011. I was moved by how much suffering I saw. This painting depicts Christ’s Second Coming when, after great destruction and upheaval, Christ will heal us. This painting is a testimony to the power of Christ to become our personal Balm of Gilead.
