From the beginning, the restored Church has been a missionary church.​ Even in their poverty, early members of the Church took the message of the Restoration across the United States and beyond, as depicted in this painting. Although missionary work now looks very different from those early days and extends across the globe, members take the same admonition to preach the gospel to heart and look for opportunities to share the blessings we've received from living the gospel with everyone we can.
