Rose Datoc Dall

“My images are personal commentaries on sacred themes and are always about human connection with the divine. My images are full of metaphors and symbolism and I describe my work as ‘sacred imagery reimagined’. I always try to offer a fresh and contemporary interpretation to all my religious themed work.”

Rose's paintings do more than depict a scene: they tell a story. Her mastery of the human form and facial expressions draw us right into the narrative and the emotions of the individuals she portrays. She often tackles unique angles and perspectives, such as in her painting of Christ feeding the five thousand or Mary traveling to visit Martha. Peruse her gallery for more.
