The St. George Utah Temple was dedicated April 6, 1877, by President Daniel H. Wells — the first temple completed in Utah — rededicated November 11, 1975, by President Spencer W. Kimball, and rededicated December 10, 2023, by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland following a significant renovation. It stands at the heart of a city built by faithful pioneers in the red rock desert of southwestern Utah, and after nearly 150 years it remains a living center of worship and covenant making.
