Lindon Temple - Joyful Day
The Lindon Utah Temple is Utah's 25th temple. The city got its name from a linden tree that grew from a seed brought over by a pioneer from England. That tree became such an important part of the community that they named the whole town after it. You can see that story reflected throughout the temple today. Linden flowers appear as small buds near the entrance, then gradually bloom into full flowers as you move up through the building. The temple also has two baptistries, giving more young people the chance to do baptisms for their ancestors. It's a building that connects Lindon's past with its present.

At His birth Jesus and Mary are surrounded by competent midwives. At His death, Christ and His mother are administered to by helpful women who prepare His body for burial.
The two paintings are displayed with a small gap between them. This calls to mind the short time between birth and death. That gap is the arc of our story, mission, and opportunity to become a disciple of Christ.
Our devotion is best expressed through imitation of Him.
