2021 Youth Theme: LDS Art Posters, puzzles, and More

Looking for some inspiration for 2021? We can help! Find handouts, notecards, and other fun pieces of LDS art to help remind youth of their immense purpose and potential.

The youth theme for this year is Doctrine and Covenants 64:33-34:

“Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and obediant shall eat the good of the land of Zion in these last days.”

Many of our artists and photographers have their own gallery's worth of accomplished works. Here are some favorites to match this year’s LDS youth theme.

2021 Youth Theme LDS Posters

Posters are a fun way to bring a spiritual message into the rush of everyday life. Our posters are repositionable and can be moved around for decorating a bedroom, a school locker, a cabinet or closet door, or possibly the classroom where you meet for Sunday lessons. Inspire your LDS youth with artwork and quotes such as:

2021 Youth Theme: D&C  64:33-34 Posters

We'll start with our more directly-themed items. These two posters are perfect for Young Men's and Young Women's groups. They quote the 2021 youth theme scripture and feature inspiring and symbolic art. Each art poster can serve as a fun decoration and a helpful reminder as youth work to meet whatever challenges they may be facing this coming year.

Bring the World His Truth 12x18 repositionable poster

Today’s youth truly are laying the foundation for a great work. As they develop a personal relationship with their Savior, interact with peers, and grow their talents, they can become inspiring instruments in God’s hands. They each can play a unique role in helping further His work in saving His children.

The Sacred Grove - Search Ponder and Pray 12x18 repositionable poster

The world is noisy, fast-paced, and busy--especially for teens. Sometimes the best thing we can do to draw closer to God is to take a step back and have a few moments of quiet. Joseph Smith, when a youth himself, purposefully found a place that was peaceful and quiet to approach God with his burning questions. And, with time and effort, he received answers.

LDS art vertical poster of the First Vision done in cubism style by Jorge Cocco. Quote reads: "Ask of God."

First Vision 12x18 repositionable poster

We live in a society that is overflowing with information. Social media is mired in all sorts of opinions, points of view, and agendas.

Like Joseph Smith, teenagers today are “In the midst of this war of words and tumult of opinions” (Joseph Smith History 1:10) LDS youth needs to understand that, when all the cards are down, the ultimate source of truth is their Father in Heaven.

2021 Youth theme - LDS posters for Comfort and Healing

LDS art poster of three young women huddled around a glowing flower done by Annie Henrie Nader. Quote reads: "I am a daughter of God."

I am a Daughter of God 12x18 repositionable poster

Being a teenager is hard on its own, let alone with the expectations and fake realities that can come with social media and adjusting to online school.

Remind the girls in your classes or your home that they are valued. They are daughters of God, and no amount of selfie filters can compete with that kind of eternal worth.

LDS art poster of Christ walking on water done by Robert A. Boyd. Quote reads: "Peace Be Still."

To the Rescue - Peace Be Still 12x18 repositionable poster

We face many storms in life. LDS youth face many unique challenges on all fronts from virtual bullying to mental illness.

If they can learn early to trust in the Savior as they cross stormy seas, it will help them remain resilient when they find themselves coming up against trials and difficulties.

LDS art poster of angels comforting a young woman done by Annie Henrie Nader. Quote reads: "For He shall give His angels charge over thee. To keep thee in all they ways."

For He shall give His angels charge over thee... - 14x20 poster featuring Angels Among Us by Annie Henrie (Special)

The Lord has promised, especially in connection with temple covenants, that His angels will have charge over us.

Like the prophet Elisha praying for and reassuring his young servant when their city was under attack, you can help today’s youth see that they are not alone. Not even close. (2 Kings 6:17)

LDS art poster of Jesus Christ reaching out with a kind smile done by Kelsey and Jesse Lightwaeve. Includes Isaiah 41:10.

Fear Not I am with thee... 12x18 repositionable poster

Fear cripples many people in society today. With recent political upheavals and illness, the world--and especially the future--may look unsteady and even dark for teens today.

You can help your LDS youth remember that there is always hope, especially when we put our trust in Jesus Christ. As the Savior, Himself taught, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Shield of Faith - 14x20 poster featuring Shield of Faith by Judy Cooley (Special)

Youth today may not face a physical battle, but there is a spiritual war going on every day.

These posters by Judy Cooley capture an ennobling sense of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. To lay the foundation for a great work, LDS youth will need to “put on the whole armour of God” (Ephesians 6:11).

2021 Youth Theme - LDS Temple Posters

LDS temple photo by Robert A. Boyd of Salt Lake Temple and statue of a family. Text reads: "Keep on the Covenant Path."

Salt Lake Temple - Spring Statue 12x18 repositionable poster

The family is under attack now more than ever. Yet, it is one of the most sacred, ennobling creations of God, and part of laying the foundation for a great work will include defending it.

This poster portrays the beauty and joy that can come with harmony in the home and with making temple covenants.

Robert A. Boyd has an entire collection of these temple photos. These eight are only a small selection. Peruse our online gallery to find a temple meaningful to the LDS youth in your family or Young Men's or Young Women's class.

LDS art poster of a portrait of Christ done by Simon Dewey. Text reads: "Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ."

Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ - 14x20 poster featuring Grace and Truth by Simon Dewey (Special)

We love this image by Simon Dewey because it portrays the Savior as both strong and kind. There is hope in his smile, reminding us that there is hope for the future.

We can press forward, trusting in the eternal power of Jesus Christ to help us turn trials and weaknesses into transforming miracles.

There is hope in his smile, reminding us that there is hope for the future.

LDS art poster of a portrait of Jesus Christ amid garden leaves done by Annie Henrie Nader. Includes quote from Luke 2:52.

Garden Meditation 12x18 repositionable poster

Even Jesus Christ had to learn and grow. Sometimes, an individual as perfect as the Savior can seem unreachable or unrelatable to youth who are working through a time of self-doubt or who may be struggling to understand themselves.

This art poster by Annie Henrie Nader shares the profound scripture describing Christ’s childhood and youth, reminding us that in all areas of His life, He also grew by degrees.

2021 Youth theme - LDS Book of Mormon Art Posters

LDS art poster featuring a painting of two young stripling warriors saying goodbye to their mother. The text says: "We do not doubt our mothers knew it. - Alma 56:48"

Army of Helaman quote - 20x28 poster featuring They Did Not Doubt by Joseph Brickey (Special)

The two-thousand stripling warriors described in the Book of Mormon faced some unique challenges for their time. In a war-torn society, they chose to step up.

Despite their lack of military experience, their faith and courage allowed them to be of immense help in protecting their country and loved ones. They too did what is described in the 2021 youth theme and laid the foundation for great work.

LDS art poster of Captain Moroni holding the Title of Liberty. The text reads: "In memory of our God, our religion and freedom. - Alma 46:12"

Captain Moroni - Title of Liberty Quote - 20x28 poster featuring Title of Liberty by Joseph Brickey (Special)

Captain Moroni was practically a youth himself when he was appointed leader of the Nephite armies. He vehemently stood for important values such as freedom and family. Both are under attack today.

Remind youth that they have the potential to be powerful forces for good, just as Captain Moroni was.

LDS art poster of Nephi in cubism style done by Jorge Cocco. Text reads: "I will go and do."

Go and Do 12x18 repositionable poster

LDS art poster of angels visiting a young woman done by Annie Henrie Nader. Text reads: "Go and do. - 1 Nephi 3:7."

Interrupting Angels 12x18 repositionable poster

These two posters are perfect for Young Men’s and Young Women’s classes. Disciples of Christ have always been called upon to do what they are afraid of. Nephi had to trek back across the desert to get records from a greedy and violent king. Moses had to face his weakness for speaking when approaching Pharaoh about freeing the Israelites. Even the early saints had to sacrifice their homes and even their lives to establish Christ’s church. These posters can help remind them of their courage and that God will help them. In the end, His path is always the most rewarding.

2021 Youth Theme LDS Bookmarks

Even with everything going digital, many kids and youth still read hardbound books at school. They likely have physical scriptures they read together with their family, or they may have a notebook in which they sketch or jot down ideas.

A bookmark is a simple way to remind the LDS youth of their worth and purpose.

2021 Youth Theme - LDS Temple Art Bookmarks

LDS art photo of the Salt Lake Temple doors by Scott Jarvie. Text reads: "Stand ye in holy places."

Salt Lake Temple (Stand Ye In Holy Places) bookmark

Not everyone has ready access to a temple, but that does not mean we can not stand in holy places.

The time we spend on our knees praying, studying the scriptures, or serving someone is all considered holy.

Like the temple, these moments can help us draw closer to God.
