100+ Stunning Jesus Images

Art allows us to transcend our current circumstances to reach a higher plane of thought. It’s symbols, colors, and patterns speak to the deeper parts of the mind and perhaps to the very soul.

At Altus Fine Art, we focus on religious-themed art. We believe that quality LDS and Christian art can help individuals and families draw closer to the Master Creator. Pictures of Jesus Christ are one of our biggest selections of completed artwork. We publish dedicated artists who have felt the healing influence of Jesus Christ firsthand. They have witnessed Heaven’s small miracles at work in their professional and personal lives and have a strong desire to share what they have felt with others.

We have divided our collection into nine meaningful sections to help narrow down the options. Whether you are looking for biblical stories, pictures of Jesus with children, or illustrations of a young Jesus, we hope you enjoy our collection!

Good Shepherd Images

Leaders throughout history have used symbolism to communicate their authority. Many times, traits such as power, strength, and influence took the form of animals. From lions and bears to serpents and dragons, intimidation was clearly spelled out for subjects and enemies alike.

Interestingly, the most powerful leader of all time chose a lamb.

Jesus Christ also referred to Himself as the good shepherd during His earthly ministry. That is because His leadership is not one of fear or dominance. Rather, it is one of hope and growth. Jesus is a true leader because He wants each of us to become leaders ourselves. He came not to conquer us, but to save us. See more.

Pictures of Jesus With Children

Kids and teens face a myriad of unique challenges. Even from an early age, many today face family issues, financial struggles, conflicting value sets, peer pressure, drug abuse, pornography, and even mental illness.

Inspiring art can help children and adults alike feel God’s love. It can remind us of our true worth, regardless of what noisy messages we get from the world around us.  Jesus Christ taught us that God loves children and youth. He taught us that we should nurture them, care for them, and even learn from them. As we read in the book of Mark:

“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."  See more.

Pictures of Jesus Walking on Water

One of the most miraculous moments in the Bible is when Jesus Christ walks on water to reach his struggling apostles. Multiple books in the New Testament record this event, including Matthew, Mark, and John.

In Matthew, we also find a detailed account of Peter petitioning the Savior to join him. To the apostle’s astonishment, not the least of which Peter’s, he is able to take a few steps out into the storm before doubt takes over, and Christ rescues him. See more.

Pictures of Jesus Washing Feet

The act of washing someone’s feet is one of the most humble acts we read about in the Bible. According to the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, it was common courtesy for a host to present a travel-weary guest with water with which they would wash their own feet. The only time a guest did not perform the task themselves was when the host owned a slave, in which case it would be the slave’s job.

In other words, during this sacred event, Jesus, the Son of Man, knelt and completed the work of a slave. It’s no wonder his disciples were shocked and initially appalled at the idea of their master descending so low and performing a service for them for which they did not feel worthy. Read more.

Pictures of Jesus Praying

Jesus’ relationship with and loyalty to God the Father is one of the hallmarks of His earthly ministry. The scriptures cite multiple instances of Jesus seeking His father’s will, thanking Him, or receiving direct communication such as after being baptized.

The scriptures also teach that Jesus made time to be with God. We too can draw peace and strength by communicating with our Creator. God has promised: "Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Doctrine and Covenants 88:63). Pictures of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Jesus Christ’s suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane is perhaps the most sacred event recorded in the Bible. The pain He suffered was enough to cause Him to bleed at every pore. It was enough for the ever obedient, ever grateful son to petition the Father for another way. (Luke 22)

In modern-day revelation, Jesus Christ gave His own witness of His Atonement on behalf of the human family:

“For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I; Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men” (Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-19). Jesus Healing Images

Throughout history, we can see that people follow Jesus Christ not because everything He teaches makes immediate sense to them and not because it has been the popular thing to do. It is and always has been because He offers hope. He brings healing to a weary world. He understands each of our pains and sorrows and seeks to help us overcome them.

The apostles described it best: “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38) See more.

Baby Jesus Images & Jesus AS a Child

The Bible gives us few details about Jesus Christ’s life as a child. We know much more about His birth and His adult ministry than His growing-up years. That is why we are grateful for our artists. They have taken the key components of Jesus’ life and teachings and explored the uncharted territory.

Enjoy these unique Jesus as a child images. Additionally, we’ve included some pictures of baby Jesus that are not necessarily associated with the nativity scene. Find additional insight into what it might have been like to know the Savior of the world as a child. See more.

Jesus often taught through story. He helped individuals understand abstract concepts by describing settings, objects, or tasks they would have been familiar with within their everyday life.
