Inspiration:

And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. - 2 Nephi 25:26

We are counseled to look forward with an eye of faith (Alma 5:15) to the day when we will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ. The famous Christus sculpture by Bertel Thorvaldsen has inspired millions of Christians across the world to see the risen Christ with the eye of faith. The red robe in my painting symbolizes the Atonement for our sins, for when Christ comes again He shall be red in his apparel (Doctrine & Covenants 133:48; see also Revelation 19:13). This painting is meant to be emblematic of the glory and intensity we would feel coming before the Living Christ.
