All is Well by Annie Henrie Nader
About this Image:
Fresh courage take. Our God will never us forsake; All is well! All is well! - Come, Come, Ye Saints; Hymn No. 30
This painting depicts two scenes: a Mormon pioneer handcart company trekking west, and the last parting glance at their temple in Nauvoo, as seen from across the Mississippi. This image would have been the last memory they had of their beautiful city and the temple they labored to build. The company is not alone in their journeythey are accompanied and guarded by angels along the way. We can echo their example in moving forward joyfully despite loss and hardship, having faith that heaven is not too far away.
About the Artist:
ANNIE HENRIE NADER knew she wanted to be an artist at an early age. She has early memories of painting with her father, a professional artist. Annie graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Illustration. As part of her education, she was able to study abroad in England and Italy. She also served as a full-time missionary in southern England. These experiences, along with recently having become a mother, have inspired much of her art style and religious subject matter.
