About this Image:
I was heartbroken when the Provo tabernacle burned, thinking we just lost a beautiful building with a lot of history. When the church announced that they would buy the site and build a new temple there using the original walls that were left, I was so excited. I flew out to UT 3 times that year and every time, I would drive down to the Provo City temple to take more pictures. I wanted to make sure I got it right. I wanted to paint a picture worthy of the structure and the surroundings that would bring beauty and the spirit into the homes of those who hung the picture.
About the Artist:
ANNE J. BRADHAM grew up in the Washington DC area with exposure to art at an early age. While a student at BYU, she traveled extensively throughout Europe on a semester abroad program with artist James C. Christensen. Her work can be found in both public and private collections such as the late Senator Robert F Bennett, Franklin-Covey Co., Museum of History and Art, and the Utah Museum of Art. Though she currently resides in Georgia with her family, Anne traveled to each of the temples she has painted. Anne hopes her temple paintings will convey the spirit she felt while on the temple grounds and help all to remember the love God has for them and the covenants they have made.
