Step 4 - Truth

Inspiration:

For the Spirit speaketh the truth and lieth not. Wherefore, it speaketh of things as they really are, and of things as they really will be; wherefore, these things are manifested unto us plainly, for the salvation of our souls. - Jacob 4:13

Step four is about letting the truth set you free. I began this series to understand my sons and their journey. I chose the use of birds since they are inclusive to all people and cultures.With this step, we make a fearless inventory of our lives. Everything from our shame to our hurt is brought to light. This light of truth shines through the treetops. For me, this represents the Light of Christ. On the forest floor is a broken nest, broken eggs, a broken life. The raven, a very family-centered bird, is looking over the wreckage of her life because of addiction. The light of truth is exposing how her choices need to change. And with this knowledge, she will have a chance to rebuild.
