God's Grace

Inspiration:

This painting, "God's Grace" was inspired by a podcast I heard from @emilybellefreeman about grace and how the things we suffer from in mortality can be answered by God's love and the Atonement. I have trees and fruit in the background because of the story she tells of Grace, the Garden of Eden & the Tree of Life.Eve wasn't trying to decide if she wanted to eat the fruit or not in the Garden of Eden. She was deciding whether or not she wanted to enter mortality and leave God's presence. Where there would be death, sickness, accidents, hatred, but also the possibility of children, family and connection. Do I enter into mortality and what that could mean for us?But there are 2 trees to help us in this run of mortality. In the tree of life story, the fruit represents the love of god and a huge part of his love for us is the Atonement. It can bring you back into the presence of God. It can turn cancer into healing, death becomes the resurrection, hatred in love and addiction/bad habits into wholeness. God understands these things. He's felt them. It becomes the answer to everything on the mortality tree.2 Nephi 25:23"It is by Grace that we are saved after all we can do."After all WE can do. God and yourself. What can we do with God as our partner?
