What must it have been like to stand in the stillness of the tomb with Christ, in that sacred moment when death was overcome? What did He feel as the light of new life burst forth? These questions have stirred my heart as I contemplated the miracle that touches all humanity. In this painting, I sought to capture the awe and reverence of that moment - the brilliance of divine light breaking through the shadows, illuminating the stone walls that could not contain Him. The radiance is not just external but emanates from within, symbolizing the triumph of love, hope, and eternal life. As I worked, I reflected on the profound humility of His sacrifice and the boundless love He showed by enduring it. I pray this piece conveys the wonder and gratitude I feel, and that it invites you to pause and reflect on the significance of His resurrection.
