Walk on Water

Inspiration:

When I painted this piece, I wasn't trying to capture perfection ...I was trying to capture the moment just before the miracle. The moment where your foot hovers above the edge of the boat and everything in you is screaming, "Don't." But He's there. Steady. Reaching. Waiting. There's something extraordinary about simple, daily faith. It's not loud. It's not dramatic. It's the quiet courage to believe that water can hold you because He said it would. That's what I wanted the brushstrokes to feel like-layered, messy, textured with hope. The water beneath Him is a patchwork of uncertainty, but He is certain. He is peace in the storm. And He is always walking toward you. I painted the background almost like a stage set-figures in the distance, the sky like a swirling curtain —because I wanted you to feel that this moment is personal. You're not an audience member. You're the next one called to step out. This painting is for anyone who's exhausted but still trying, for anyone who's afraid but willing. It's an invitation to expect small miracles, to believe that strength can meet you in your weakness, and to remember that we were never meant to walk on water alone.
