Wandering Lamb

Inspiration:

When I painted this, I was trying to capture something that words so often fail to express: that astonishing combination of strength and gentleness in the Savior. Here is the most powerful being, the One who commands the elements and shapes worlds...and yet, He kneels in the dust, His hands tender as they part the thorns we’ve stumbled into. There’s no impatience, no judgment. Just this steady, careful grace, sorting through the mess we make of things. What moves me most is how He sees us. Beneath all the ways we get caught and tangled, beneath the wandering and the mistakes…He sees the lamb. The gentle, vulnerable soul we sometimes forget we are. And He comes, not with force, but with mercy. He reaches through the brambles, not to scold, but to gather, to lift, to bring us safely home. This piece, for me, is a reminder that no matter how far we stray or how stuck we become, we are never beyond His rescuing hands. And somehow, knowing that makes us all the more grateful when He finds us.
