About this Image:

The parable of the lost sheep communicates themes of loss, searching, and rejoicing, where the lost sheep can represent a lost brother, sister, other relative, or friend. With regard to active participation in the Lord's church, what family has not experienced the heartbreaking loss of watching another stray? The rejoicing of the shepherd with his friends is representative of both the Savior's rejoicing with the angels in heaven when a lost sheep is found and returned, as well as rejoicing with family members and friends as they return to the fold of Christ.
