Beside Still Waters by Simon Dewey

Inspiration:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. - Psalms 23:1 - 3

This image was used on the front cover of the April 2000 Ensign magazine, and for many, it was the first time they saw my artwork. The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles was the first article in the magazine, and I thought it such an honor to have my artwork shown on that particular issue. I painted this image to show the Savior with his rod and staff that comfort us in our times of need.
