There’s something timeless about an image of Jesus Christ offering comfort, healing, and hope. For centuries, artists have captured these moments to remind us of His love, compassion, and ability to restore body and spirit.

Whether you’re seeking personal inspiration, art to bless your home, or a meaningful gift, pictures of Jesus healing are a powerful way to connect with His example.

This blog highlights 16 heartwarming artworks that bring these sacred moments to life. From tender interactions with children to profound depictions of Christ comforting the suffering, these pieces capture His restorative power in timeless and modern ways.

Jesus heals the leper

Jesus heals a leper in a cubist landscape. The kneeling man reaches out as Christ touches him, bathed in divine light. Jorge Cocco Santángelo.

The story of Jesus healing the leper is one of the most powerful examples of His love and compassion. In this account, Jesus reaches out to someone who had been cut off from their family and community because of illness. Despite the social stigma and the risk of contagion, He showed courage, mercy, and complete trust in God’s will.

This story also reminds us of gratitude. Only one of the ten lepers He healed returned to thank Him. Like that grateful leper, we can pause to recognize and give thanks for Jesus’ healing power and His “unspeakable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15).

Enjoy these touching artworks that bring this story to life.

Jesus raises Lazarus

The story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead is one of the most remarkable demonstrations of His divine power. It shows that Jesus has authority even over death and offers hope that life does not end here. Through His Atonement and Resurrection, all of us — and our loved ones — can live again.

This miracle reminds us of the promise of eternal life and the hope that comes from trusting in Him. It’s a powerful example of Christ's love and compassion to those who believe in Him.

As the apostles said of Jesus:

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38).

Jesus heals the daughter of Jairus

Even today, it’s easy to overlook children amid busy schedules, endless to-dos, and constant distractions. In this story, Jesus shows how much He values children and how deeply He cares for families.

When Jairus’ daughter was gravely ill, Jesus responded with compassion and authority, even in the face of doubt and sorrow from those around Him. He reminds us that difficult circumstances or what others think of Him do not limit His love and healing.

This story encourages parents and all of us to trust in Jesus’ power, care, and timing, even when a situation seems impossible.

The woman who touched Jesus’ robe

Sometimes we wonder if God will answer our prayers or if the miracle we hope for will ever come. The story of the woman who touched Jesus’ robe offers comfort and encouragement. Luke 8:43 describes her:

“A woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any.”

After twelve years of illness and countless failed treatments, her situation might have seemed hopeless. Yet she showed incredible faith, believing that even a simple touch of Jesus’ robe could bring healing.

Her story reminds us that faith is powerful, and even when answers don’t come immediately, God’s timing is perfect and His promises are sure.

Jesus healing the blind

Jesus healed many people who were physically blind, but His power doesn’t stop there. He can also help us overcome spiritual blindness — helping us see ourselves, others, and the world as they truly are. Through Him, we can understand our identity as God’s children and recognize the path that leads to lasting joy and peace.

Often, this understanding comes gradually, like a light shining into the corners of our lives. Each insight and moment of clarity brings us closer to seeing with the kind of vision only Jesus provides.

Jesus forgiving

When we think of Jesus’ healing, physical miracles often come to mind first — healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, or raising the dead. But some of the deepest healing happens when He offers forgiveness.

One powerful example is when a paralyzed man was brought to Jesus. Instead of immediately healing his body, Jesus said, “Thy sins are forgiven thee” (Luke 5:20). This shows that sometimes the pain we carry inside runs deeper than what anyone can see. Forgiveness opens the way for true healing — from the inside out.

These images capture that moment of mercy and grace.
