Carol Ogden

Carol Ogden

"In my work, I concentrate on happy simple shapes and subjects. I enjoy combining my mother’s love of quilting and my father’s interest in bird watching and often use geometric patterns to place small creatures in an environment of order and peace."

When it comes to religious art, Carol quite literally paints with words. Her intricate piecing together of different phrases and fonts is mesmerizing. And it only adds to the beautiful detail of her illustrations of landscapes and people. Carol also focuses on depicting peaceful scenes of small birds and animals. In these pieces, she invites us to see the value in the small and often overlooked parts of our life. Her nature paintings remind us that daily miracles surround us.
