“A portrait can certainly move you, but an abstract piece can evoke deeper, higher-order thinking.”
The shapes and angles Jorge Cocco Santángelo uses in his art carry aspects of the post-cubist art movement. Cubism is an art form inspired by other abstract artists such as Picasso and Braque and depicts objects and scenes from different angles rather than a set perspective and realistic shapes. Jorge calls his specific style “sacrocubism” because he uses the abstract nature of cubism to illustrate sacred messages and themes.
