Walking With Jesus: 75+ Inspiring Images to Strengthen You
When we choose to walk with Jesus, we certainly do not choose a convenient path. As with all of His followers and disciples, Christ invites us to take a higher road. In the sermon on the mount, he taught the importance of loving our enemies, repeatedly forgiving those who trespass against us, and willingly giving service even to those who might not seem to deserve it.
In short, walking with Jesus means walking in obedience as well as courage. It means trusting that God has a plan while being willing to step into unknown territory. We may stumble and fall along the way, but He will always be there to lift us back on our feet again.
When we walk with Christ, we are moving closer toward our true potential as a child of God. Enjoy LDS artwork illustrating the invitations, guidance, and comfort Jesus extends to each of us.
25+ LDS Art Illustrating Walking With Christ
Walking with Christ is a challenging yet redeeming journey. Just as the Sermon on the Mount teaches, it often requires taking the higher road or responding to life’s conflicts in ways that seem almost counterintuitive. Yet, as a result, we become something greater than we already are. As Ezra Taft Benson so eloquently put it:
“Men and women who turn their lives over to God will find out that he can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace. Whoever will lose his life to God will find he has eternal life.”
10+ Good Samaritan Images: As I Have Loved You
Jesus Christ is the ultimate example of healing others. Not only do we read accounts of Him curing physical ailments, but we also see Him unapologetically teach truth, give loving feedback to His followers, and forgive sin.
That is because Jesus Christ’s healing is deep and lasting. He has a deep understanding of who we are and where we are and meets us there. Then, if we are willing to even stumble our way down the path of following Him, He lifts us to places we never imagined we could reach. His healing may not always be immediate, but it is always what we need.
20+ Jesus the Good Shepherd Images
Leaders throughout history have used symbolism to communicate their authority. Many times, traits such as power, strength, and influence took the form of animals. From lions and bears to serpents and dragons, intimidation was clearly spelled out for subjects and enemies alike.
Interestingly, the most powerful leader of all time chose a lamb.
Jesus Christ also referred to Himself as the good shepherd during His earthly ministry. That is because His leadership is not one of fear or dominance. Rather, it is one of hope and growth. Jesus is a true leader because He wants each of us to become leaders ourselves. He came not to conquer us, but to save us.
In short, walking with Jesus means walking in obedience as well as courage. It means trusting that God has a plan while being willing to step into unknown territory. We may stumble and fall along the way, but He will always be there to lift us back on our feet again.
11 Stunning Pictures of Jesus Walking on Water
One of the most miraculous moments in the Bible is when Jesus Christ walks on water to reach his struggling apostles. Multiple books in the New Testament record this event, including Matthew, Mark, and John.
In Matthew, we also find a detailed account of Peter petitioning the Savior to join him. To the apostle’s astonishment, not the least of which Peter’s, he can take a few steps out into the storm before doubt takes over, and Christ rescues him.
The biblical account of Jesus walking on water teaches a great deal about the principle of faith. For example, the miracle of Jesus approaching the apostles did not come until late into the night, reminding us that while God answers some prayers immediately, others require patience and trust amid the raging storm.
Jesus Comforting: 20+ Images and Artwork
Scriptures, ancient and modern, testify to Jesus’ comforting and unconditional love.
Jeffrey R. Holland taught: “However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.”
